Phasing through the earthen surface beneath his feet, a golurk sprang from his very own shadow, causing him no small reason for alarm. Jumping back at the sight, he seemed to arouse in it a sense of playfulness, causing what appeared to be laughter and joy. Which only embittered him more.

"Yeah, yeah, so funny. Leave me alone."

The pokemon's spirits were quickly made somber, spoiling what little fun it had been able to scrounge out of him. But realizing he was no fun, it quickly passed him by before Adrian could get any ideas.

Actions: Searching for wild pokemon...

Holy crap, they pulled out all the stops this time, haven't they...? Adrian thought as he happened across a Charmander basking in the sunlight, the flames licking from its tail growing in intensity as the sun reached its zenith. What a lucky find!

Needless to say he'd thrown his fair share of safari balls, cocking back his arm and executing his pitch perfectly, the Charmander's alarm working to his benefit as it stood up into the ball's path. *BAM*

Oft he found himself regretting how hard he'd hit them, but being cautioned against battling the preserve's pokemon, he felt a rough toss really did the trick in place of weakening it in battle.

Rushing to the defense of his friend, a wild Shieldon came lumbering towards Adrian, buffing him on the shin. "Ou-! H-hey!" It bashed him once more for good measure, but Adrian was hardly going to fall to some half-pint. You cheeky-

"You two friends or something?!" Shieldon growled at him, although it was more like a squeal, but it was enough to confirm his suspicions. Slinking his hand over his belt, he grasped another safari ball. "Why don't you come with us?"

Shieldon seemed to shy away, taking a few half-steps back, but it was not fast enough to evade the pokeball he'd lobbed at it. At least they'd be together for awhile longer if he came along.

Right about now Adrian's starting to wonder just how many new pokemon there are tucked away in the safari. What even is this thing, though? Flipping open his phone and opening the Dex App, he's eventually able to identify it through the net.

...It's called a Falinks?

Preparing a pokeball, the pokemon's cluster forms rank to defend against an unknown agent. Him. It's interesting to see them shift around as a unit, and he can definitely see why they named it thus.

Tossing the first pokeball, it misses as their ranks disperse. "Oh, c'mon." They seemed to laugh at his exasperation, even lowering their guard...

A second pokeball unleashes itself, and somehow they're all brought into its confines. Actually, it brought something to mind: It was passing strange actually that pokeballs were limited to one pokemon, and yet such species as this, Exeggcutor and Magneton were exceptions. Beats me how...

He wouldn't tarry long to stop and ponder before setting off, plucking the safari ball he'd missed with from the ground and continuing forward.

Almost done, and with plenty time to spare. I might be able to go and get lunch after this.

As if summoned by the musing of lunch, a possessed phantom cutlery showed itself in the distance. Adrian recognized it as an Honedge, and while he wanted to approach, truth be told he was fearful. It was a literal sword, pokemon or not.

Creeping up on it slowly, Adrian considered setting one of his pokemon after it. Mmm... maybe.

Tapping a pokeball of his own, he'd release a Growlithe he'd gotten from a safari before. It was a silly creature hardly able to be commanded, prone to bounding after others and peppering them in licks and doggy breath. "Buddy, use Flamethrower on that Honedge over there."

It barked as if to comply, rushing towards the sword as its single eye leered over to their commotion. When Growlithe approached the Honedge hurled itself to meet it, swinging its edged form, but Growlithe stopped short and loosed its Flamethrower. Honedge ended up falling short of its mark, its blade singing as it swung through the air carving naught but air. It was then tempered by flame, collapsing to the ground after being smote.

Throwing the pokeball quickly as the opportunity arose, he directed his attention to Growlithe after, running a hand over the fur atop its head.\

Good job buddy."
